Services
Shipping by UPS
UPS usually picks up from our warehouse at 4:00
p.m. each day. Our cut off time for orders to be shipped the same day is 12:00
p.m.
We charge 25% over the UPS list prices.
The cost of insurance will also be marked up by
25%.
There is a minimum freight markup of US$2.00 per
box.
Any fuel surcharges in effect will be added to
the charge.
If you incur more than US$100 per month in UPS
charges, we may require you to open your own account with UPS. We still charge
our markup based on the value of the shipment.
We will add an additional US$2.50 per shipment
for COD parcels to cover the cost of extra handling. This amount is in addition
to UPS’s charge for COD shipments.
We prefer not to send shipments on a COD (cash on
delivery) basis and accept no responsibility whatsoever for proper execution of
any COD shipments. All COD shipments are sent on a “best efforts” basis only.
We will not be liable for any errors, e.g., failure to send the shipment by COD
or failure to select money order vs. check, etc. Please try to have your
shipments sent by credit card or prepaid.
Any COD shipments that we send out that come back
will be subject to additional handling charges of US$10.00 per box plus the cost
of freight back to us.
Dealing
with Errors by UPS
We will not spend hours of staff time trying to
recover a minor overcharge. We can investigate for you or can complain on your
behalf, but we will charge US$45.00 per hour for doing so, billed in one-minute
increments.
Shipping
by United States Postal Service
Mail shipments are processed on-line and are
picked up the next day by the post office. The cut off for shipments going by
mail is 12:00 p.m.
If you require faster service, we can take the
parcels to the post office the same day. The cut off for shipments going by
mail is 12:00 p.m. We take shipments to the post office at 3:00 p.m. There is
a US$35.00 additional charge to make a run to the local post office plus US$2.00
per box. We do not offer this service during the month before Christmas due to
long wait times at the post office.
We will charge 25% over the total charge for
shipping and insurance (with a minimum charge of US$2.00 per box).
If you ship one box with a direct cost of
US$15.23, the charge will be US$15.23 * 1.25 = US$19.04. This price assumes
that the post office picks it up from our warehouse the next day.
If this same box must be taken to the post office
the same day, the cost is US$15.23 * 1.25 = US$19.04 + US$35.00 = US$54.04.
If you send three boxes with direct costs of
US$4.65 + US$6.99 + US$21.72, you will be charged US$4.65 + US$2.00 (the minimum
charge) for the first box, US$6.99 + US$2.00 for the second box, and US$21.72 +
US$5.43 for the third box. The cost for shipping with upcharges is US$42.79.
If we take the above shipment to the post office,
there will be a US$35.00 charge + US$2.00 per box to make the run to the post
office for a total of US$83.79.
Frequent shipments of more than 10 boxes per run
or use of large boxes may have additional charges to be negotiated.
The above quote is for shipments to our local
post office. If you need us to make a special run to the main post office, we
charge labor time at US$45.00 per hour plus US$0.50 cents per mile. This takes
about an hour.

Shipping
by FedEx, DHL, or other Couriers
We can ship by FedEx or DHL if you wish. Please
note that we do not have their software installed on our computers and must do
the entries on-line. This takes extra time and will result in additional labor
charges. To save time and money, we recommend using UPS or USPS. If you want
to pay for the computer and software, we will be happy to install these other
packages.
Shipping
by Truck
If you arrange your own pick up by truck there
are no additional charges other than loading charges. We do charge if we have
to prepare the bill of lading and make arrangements with the trucking line.
We can arrange shipment by truck for you. All
truck shipments that we arrange will be marked up 25% with a minimum mark up of
US$50.00. We rely on Yellow Freight for most truck shipments. Because of our
deep discounts with Yellow, we can probably save you money even after our
markup. For shipments to the Toronto area, we use Buffalo Express.
If we provide the skids, we charge US$20.00 per
skid for each skid that we provide.
Loading charges are US$10.00 for the first skid
and US$5.00 for each additional skid we load onto the truck. For example, if
you have four skids being loaded onto a truck in one shipment, the charge is
US$10.00 + US$5.00 + US$5.00 + US$5.00 = US$25.00.
If we prepare the shipment, there will be a
charge for labor and materials. This charge will depend upon the number of
skids and the amount of time required to prepare the shipment.
Trucking
Service Between Toronto and Niagara Falls, New York
If we make arrangements, we will charge a 25% markup over
our direct costs with a minimum charge of US$50.00.

Please note that
Buffalo Express cannot pick up or deliver to residential locations. Their
trucks are not allowed into these areas. You will need to make arrangements to
use a truck loading dock if you are using their services.
Export
Orders
We charge US$15.00 per shipment for all
orders being sent outside of the United States by mail or courier service. This
fee is to compensate us for the additional time required to complete customs
paperwork.
For large export orders by freight
forwarder, we charge by the hour at US$45.00 per hour to complete any required
paperwork.
